2025 Ventura College Women's Water Polo Team News
First year Pirates Julia Glukhovsky and Parker Pratt earned first team all-Western State Conference honors for the 2025 season as voted by the conference coaches last month. Bella Bruno and Abigail Humphry earned second-team All-WSC accolades while Ami Cruz and Stevie Sturges earned Honorable Mention nods.
The VC woomen's water polo team battled to the final horn Saturday, but ultimately came up short i the third place game o fthe Western State Conference Tournament, falling to LA Valley, Julia Glukhovsky led the effort wit hsix goals and six drawn ejections and Parker Pratt had three scores with two assists. Ami Cruz handed out four helpers as the PIrates ended their 2025 campaign at the Ventura Aquatic Center.
The VC women's water polo team lost to top-seeded Santa Barbara 15-5 Friday afternoon in the Western State Conference Tournament at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Julia Glukhovsky and Parker Pratt each scored twice and Allie Costa-Schmitt also found the inside of the cage for the Pirates. Bella Bruno recorded 12 saves in goal against the Vaqueros.
The VC women's water polo team advanced in the Western State Conference Tournament with an 18-4 victory over Bakersfield Thursday at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Abigail Humphry led the way with five goals and five steals while Parker Pratt and Julia Glukhovsky each scored four times for the Pirates. Bella Bruno recorded nine saves in the cage in the game.
The VC women's water polo team clsoed the regular season with a pair of setbacks at the Santa Barbara Mini Tournament Saturday. Julia Glukhovsky led the effort for Ventura with eight goals and eigh tdrawn ejections in the two games while Parker Pratt netted four scores. Audrey Hernandez handed out four assists in the two contests and Bella Bruno recorded 15 saves in the cage.
The VC women's water polo team won three of four games Friday and Saturday at the Battle at the Beach Tournament at Cypress College. Abigail Humphry and Parker Pratt led the Pirates offensively with 13 goals each in the four games. Pratt also doubled up spending four quarters in the cage amassing 14 saves. Bella Bruno recorded 26 saves in goal over the four games.
The VC women's water polo team dropped an 8-5 decision at Los Angeles Valley Wednesday afternoon in Valley Glen. Parker Pratt led the effort for Ventura with a pair of gaols, one assist. one steal and a drawn ejection and Ami Cruz grabbed three steals defesively with an ED. Abigail Humphry, Julia Glukhovsky and Allie Costa-Schmitt also netted scores for the Pirates while Bella Bruno recorded 23 saves in the cage.
The Ventura College women's water polo team dropped a Western State Conference game at Cuesta Wedneday afternoon, 17-8. Parker Pratt, Abigal Humphry and Julia Glukhovsky all scored two goals for Ventura with Ami Cruz and Audrey Hernandez each netting one score. Glukhovsky added five ejections drawn and Pratt recorded a pair of ED's. Bella Bruno had 11 saves and a pair of steals in the cage.
The VC women's water polo team won a pair of games Friday in their own tournament hosted at the Ventura Aquatic Center. The Pirates doubled up Modesto 18-9 in the morning match-up before defeating Pasadena 15-2 in the afternoon tilt. Julia Glukhovsky led the effort with 11 goals in the two matches while Abigail Humphry scored seven times. Parker Pratt recorded 18 saves in four quarters of action in the two games.
The VC women's water polo team competed at the Cerritos Mini Tournament, coming up short against Golden West in the opener before falling to the host Falcons in the nightcap. Julia Glukhovsky netted four goals on the day for the Pirates and Abigail Humphry had a pair of scores. Avery Monson led the defensive effort wit three steals in the two games and Bella Bruno recorded 14 saves in goal.

Julia Glukhovsky led the way with five goals, two assists, two steals and two ejections drawn and Abigail Humphry had a pair of scores, three helpers and three thefts. Stevie Sturges tallied three goals with five steals while Parker pratt turned back six shots in the cage and grabbed three steals.
The VC women's water polo team opened Western State Conference play Wednesday with a 17-10 setback at Santa Barbara City College. Julia Glukhovsky had an outstanding performance with seven goals with six ejections drawn along with one assist and a steal. Abigail Humphry netted a pair of scores with a steal and an ED. Parker Pratt turned back eight Vaquero shots in the cage.
The VC women's water polo teams competed at the Miramar and Jaguar Mini Tournaments at San Diego Miaramar and Southwestern Colleges, respectively on Firday and Saturday. Julia Glukhovsky and Abigail Humphry led the Pirates offensively over the weekend and Parker Pratt led a pair of goalies who worked in the cage in San Diego.
The VC women's water polo team competed at the Orange Coast Tournament over the weekend. Playing against Fullerton, Riverside, Long Beach and Saddleback, Julia Glukhovsky scored 14 goals in the four games and Stevie Sturges led the defense with six steals.
The Pirates' women's water polo team dropped their 2025 season opener Saturday, 9-6 against Crafton Hills at the Ventura Aquatic Center. Julia Glukhovsky led VC (0-1) with three goals, three steals and an assist while Parker Pratt contributed a score and three helpers in the field and recroded a pair of saves in the cage in the final period.
